My teaching philosophy.
My goal is not to create a guitarist, rather a musician. I seek serious students of all ages who are diligent and curious about music. My focus is on long-term development, not immediate gratification. I teach a logical approach which includes theory, musicality, and technique. Sight-reading and fretboard knowledge are a must, this will allow for improvisation and advanced chord voicing. My focus is on Classical Guitar and Electric Guitar with a concetration on Jazz/Rock Fusion. Over time my students gain a unique versatility to play any style they choose.

I have degrees in Guitar Performance and Music Education these have directly influenced my guitar pedagogy. I have over 10 years of direct teaching experience. As a graduate student I regularly read and conduct research in guitar education. My alumni have been accepted and graduated from The University of North Texas. Currently I am a Teaching Assistant at SMU I teach guitar minors and advanced class guitar.
I teach in home classical guitar lessons in the North Dallas area, Frisco, or my home studio in the SMU University Park area.
